"An Awakening"
Written by Nishant Sinha
A comical rendition to the life of an Indian couple living in Seattle. This couple like any other are going about
their lives and are busy planning a visit to India for a relative's wedding. The scenes between the couple and the
wife's unreasonable requests for jewelry etc are particularly funny and quite relatable. The couple have new
neighbor's from Boise who want to meet with them and request them to visit some villages in India where AID work
is undergoing. Our couple is convinced that they can't make a difference in the plight of the poor in India.
They argue that with the corruption and problems running so deep and them living so far, its impossible to effect
change. But a chance visit to that village in India acts as an evidence that the step by step changes are being made
and the lives of villagers and poor are being enriched. This leads to AN AWAKENING that no matter what every contribution
matters and difference can be and is being made.
